New Kato for Bernard Hunter

Scottish crane rental company Bernard Hunter Cranes has taken delivery of a New Kato CR-200Ri to replace its Kato CR100 which it has operated for several years.

The CR-200Ri - supplied by European Kato distributor Rivertek Services - features a six section 28 metre boom, plus a four to 5.8 metre telescopic jib that can offset by up to 60 degrees. The crane weighs 19.7 tonnes, is 8.7 metres long, 2.3 metres wide and just 3.2 metres high. The outriggers have multiple width settings and automatic sensing with a maximum spread of 5.4 metres.

Bernard Hunter’s Mark Rafferty said: “We are delighted to see Kato back in the market and so far we are very impressed with our new CR-200Ri City Crane which is performing very well. It has a long main boom of 28 meters, two winches and a very easy to install hydraulic fly jib all as standard.”

Ivan Bolster, operations manager of Rivertek added: “We are very pleased to complete this sale to Bernard Hunter and re-introduce new Kato cranes back into their fleet. Mark and Jim Rafferty have been a pleasure to deal with and we look forward to supporting the team at Bernard Hunter into the future.”
